Last night, after I got back home and sleeplessly reflected on my first day, I decided to rearrange how I display some of the artworks, and that was the first thing I did this morning. It was a strange, mixed feeling of detachment and curiosity —leaving the items in the venue, then coming back the next day to see them again. You come the next day, and they meet you in the room, where you see which ones have settled well and which haven’t. So, I changed the dark blue “Sterlizia Night Bloom” trio (an original work on canvas and a pair of metallic prints) to a different corner, which had better light, and the wall part’s size was larger than in the previous corner, so it accommodated them better. That was an adaptation of my work in the venue’s space. Most adaptation was about finding the best place for each piece, adapting their sizes to the available wall dimensions and the light in the room. The showroom had large windows facing East, South, and some of the West, mainly East and West. The sun was moving from one corner of the room during her, giving “individual attention ” to South, so the day to an attention with its light to each piece. Each piece had different lighting during the show time, 12 pm -6pm, and I didn’t need any electric lights. From a daylight quality standpoint, the venue was just perfect.

Today, I had most of my visits starting straight from 12 pm. People were coming in groups, and I had to manage the communication process since the different visits were overlapping. For example, when I was in the middle of describing my work and paintings, the next group was arriving, and I had to navigate and pay equal attention to all of them. It was easier when people were familiar with each other, but it became really challenging when I had to stop and introduce them to one another so I could address all of them. Some people made brief visits, but most stayed for an hour or more, listening to me discuss my practice and each piece. By 3 pm, I had figured out the best way to present my creative process and each piece, and I felt confident. I will devote a separate post to what I have learned, including the ” artist talk” part.
Below I post some photos and video material from Day Two of my exhibition. I can’t post all the photos since some people asked me to not place their photos on internet.
