Research and Advanced Practice. Ukiyo-E exhibition and Lisboa
I was able to attend the exhibition of the Japanese Ukiyo-E original paintings in Rome this February.
I was so lucky while visiting Rome this February: the Genova Museum of Oriental Art, which has the largest collection of Japanese Art in Europe, visited Rome with the Ukiyo-E artworks exhibition. Below I place the photos of iconic original works.

I am very familiar with these artworks above and to see them in original way was a great pleasure for me. At the Level 2, my Critical writing piece was about the influence of Ukiyo-E woodblock prints on Western Impressionism movement in Europe.
LISBOA, Portugal
I had a short trip to Lisboa, Portugal. As soon as I entered the lobby of the hotel, I was struck by the large size artwork hanging on the walls. My first thought was: “This art is serious 🧐”. Then I went close and discovered that this hotel’s lobby exhibits museum-quality artworks created by the most prominent Portuguese modern visual artists: Jose Almada Negreios ( 1893-1970), Pedro Leitāo (1922-2009) and Carlos Botelho (1899-1992). With great pleasure, I place the photos below. I could not find the dates of the creation of the paintings and the tapestry. These are very new names for me.
