Drawing Two, Part Two, Project 1: An Individual Vocabulary

Exercise 1.

After gathering images of objects, which represent our visual vocabulary, we have to produce some images and drawings in A3 size format to communicate something about our everyday life.

Lakshmi’a feet (oils on paper)

In this project below I tried news shades of gold of acrylic inks from Liquitex. Because I have been greatly interested in ancient Japanese style of painting such as Kano school, I tried to work in its’ manner, using lot of gold colour as background. Also o wanted to try new method of painting flowers. I used my Japanese Tambi set of aquarelle.

The garden gaze is a part of my everyday life. I gaze at trees and skies every day. I notice them, they powerfully distract me from daily stress. Below is my painting of current fall days.

My Fall is around…
(Aquarelle, inks on paper)

Below is my work in progress:

I cook often, so I deal with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables. Food is a natural part of everyday life if you are lucky. I usually don’t paint food and meals. So it was really a new task for me to work on. Please, find below my food series.

The inspiration for this one was a pumpkin salad I made.

Not Boring. (Dry pastels, inks in paper).

As usually, I play with the outcome, using my app, which allows me to scale the image.

Below is a photo of my inspiration and my work in progress

The photo of my pumpkin and feta cheese salad. The colours were inspiring.
