Exercise 1: Preparing a textured ground and Exercise 2: Mixing materials into paint;
For these exercises I used the materials on the photo below. I had some acrylic paints, a PVA glue, Gesso; some post box card board.
Below is the texture surface I have made using basmati rice. I had put the rice on a layer of PVA glue and painted it with pink and yellow acrylic paints. I made myself very loose and just let go with a flow, waiting for the idea to come without urging myself. At some point I understood that the rice looks like tree leaves. So I added some tree stems with brown colour and painted green some areas.

Below is another textured surface I have made using a carton board and a net from mandarin packaging. I have put the net on the layer of PVA glue and painted it with dark pink acrylic paints without any idea about the final result. Then I added gold acrylic paint and saw some floral mood. Then I added brunches to show the blooming tree.
