Today I tried a new great instrument for my sketches which was an “artist pen” with pigmented Indian ink in a set of four pieces – different tip’s size from 0.3 mm up to 1.5 mm made by Faber Catsle. I draw peonies – which are traditional subject for Japanese Kano School Masters. Below is my sketch in. I really enjoy working with ink because it is very flexible and versatile, it gives you lot of options while you draw and paint. Also it is an excellent tool for shading. I practised drawing and painting leaves and petals.
